This week’s episode is an interview with Gregg L. Grossman. He works as a bi-vocational chaplain for Marketplace Chaplains and is the president and founder of Beyond Perseverance LLC, a Christian life coaching geared toward helping others achieve sustainable life change. He desires to see spiritual transformation in people while allowing them to live out a genuine life before God and his people. He also works as a hospice chaplain and is an adjunct professor at Louisiana Baptist University.  Gregg and his wife, Valerie, reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Gregg endured comprehensible loss in just a short period of time, 5 family members and 3 friends. He had lost almost 70 pounds and even reversed pre-diabetic!

His brother had brain injury due to head collision, and had sustained severe traumatic injury. It was very painful for Gregg and it was that time also that he came to know Jesus when he found a Gideon Bible in his hotel room and started reading.

All of what he experienced and overcame, Gregg acknowledged that his faith in Jesus gave him strength and overcame it all.

Gregg wrote a book called Times of Perseverance: Hope and Healing on the Battlefields of Life, where he pointed out in there that death is inevitable and grief is unavoidable. But all we have to do is to hang in there, be patient with yourself and trust the process.

Gregg’s goal for the readers is to understand that there are things that we are not going to understand in life that will eventually happen. And to encourage readers to talk about their struggles, it could be to a Rabbi, Pastor, Priest, friend or family member. To endure the situation and do the things that you know what to do. Because when we endure something, then we will become the person we are meant to become.
