There are a lot of different issues that we are facing today in our society and one of these are child predators. This topic is kind of heavy and will make you think, where’s the guilt of these people? Our guest today shared his true to life experience and his advocate to protect children against predators.

Jimmi Toro is an American contemporary internationally acclaimed artist, author of the new book HEAL: My journey through the horrors of extreme childhood abuse to the painful yet magical healing process., Founder of non-profit, which is Rescue 11. Their organization’s mission is to protect children against predators. He’s also a composer and music producer.

Jimmi was a fit and healthy man when suddenly one day he felt that he’s having a heart attack. He called 911 and was rushed to the hospital. However, there were no findings to why he felt pain like dying. His journey in finding what was happening to him began. He saw many doctors and many different professionals but unfortunately none of them knew what was happening to him. No one even said that it might be a childhood trauma that is reemerging, which the case it really was.

Jimmi had another attack and finally he remembered a memory from his childhood, it was the worst! He did not have any memory from his childhood, which he now knew that he suppressed. He said that usually the male adults will remember trauma at around 50 years old, and women seem to come back earlier. That is why, in most cases, people who have stored trauma don’t even know why they’re anxious about something. Trauma is a wound that you carry with you, and if it’s not healed, you keep on re-injuring that wound until you get healed.

Jimmi experienced Sexual Ritualistic Abuse (SRA). He found a psychologist who helped him relive his traumatic experiences and healed from those experiences.

Now, Jimmi is passionate in spreading how to rescue children from predators, to make the communities aware what these predators are doing and how they love what they do, even when they wake up they are already dreaming of predating children.

During the episode, several important points were discussed, shedding light on the impact of trauma:

  • The human body has the capacity to store trauma, and if it remains unaddressed or unprocessed, it can persist. It is crucial to release and find ways to let go of trauma.
  • Finding a safe environment is key to releasing trauma. When you are surrounded by understanding and supportive individuals, you can begin to heal.
  • Trauma is like a deep wound that lingers within. If left untreated, it has the potential to resurface in one’s life. Healing is essential to prevent its reemergence.
  • Young children often struggle to communicate their experiences due to their limited understanding and influence. It is our responsibility to be a safe haven for them, offering support and compassion.
  • In the face of adversity, we should look to our family and friends. Believing and supporting children when they disclose something distressing is vital. They do not lie; their words hold truth.

I invite you to listen to this empowering episode of the Overcomer’s Podcast, where Jimmi Toro shares his harrowing experiences of Sexual Ritualistic Abuse and how he triumphed over his trauma.
